TYANTHONY DAVIS is the founder and Head of School of Vox Collegiate. He is the product of public education, born and raised in Fresno, California, where he witnessed first-hand the disparity between excellent schools and struggling schools, and the life-altering impact that accompanies it. As a teacher, he lived by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and approached his commitment to his students with the "fierce urgency of now."
“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there "is" such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
He carries out the work of growing Vox Collegiate with stubborn optimism, understanding that the substantial undertaking of sustaining a successful school. However, regardless the challenge, he knows that every day that children spend in a school where they are not educated is a day that they don't get back.
